Ricks Institute continues to produce future leaders who positively impact Liberia, West Africa, and the world at large. As a primary partner, RIAA, USA Inc., is committed to sustainable investments at Ricks Institute. The school currently spends _______ monthly on bottled water for students to prevent waterborne disease outbreaks. Some bathroom fixtures are non-functional due to broken water supply lines.
To remedy these challenges, we have the Water Supply System Renovation Project. This project is a solar-powered clean water project that involves new well(s), an onsite water purification plant, and an updated water delivery system. The overall project will include the replacement of drainage pipes, faucets, and fixtures as necessary, along with the installation of an additional water tower. This initiative will reduce healthcare and bottled water costs while also enabling the irrigation of the School Farm. With the reduction and phase-out of bottled water purchases, there will be a decrease in plastic debris on campus, alongside the elimination of the cost of bottled water.
Support this initiative to help create a healthier environment at an institution that is educating future leaders.
