OFFICIAL DAY OF MOURNING DECLARED!! from the National Chairlady – Rena Smith-Jarrett …
Good morning My Fellow Dragons, Grand Dragon Annette was one of the most spirited dragons who touched our lives in very special ways. Ricks was her pride and joy, and she did not hesitate to let anyone know how she felt about Ricks. Her contributions to Ricks Institute and to our Association cannot be quantified. As one Dragon puts it “…she was all about Ricks”. She will be dearly missed.
Welcome Message from the National Chairlady – Rena Smith-Jarrett … Welcome to the Ricks Institute Alumni Association USA, Inc. website! I greet you on behalf of the Officers and Members of this association! In 1989, RIAA-USA, Inc. was established to provide support to our Alma Mater, Ricks Institute (Ricks), a leading Liberian Baptist Missionary and Education Convention school located in Virginia, Liberia. Ricks has educated thousands of young men and women through its boarding and day school programs.Since our inception, RIAA-USA, Inc. has provided enormous support to Ricks through donations. It is in this tradition of giving back to Ricks, that I share with you the vision of my administration that spans October 2020 to September 2022.
Ricks Institute Alumni Association (RIAA) holds a long-standing tradition of helping students accomplish their academic goals and become successful citizens. Some students rely on our financial help to be able to go to school. 100% of the money that you donate goes directly to the student to pay for school fees, books, housing, meal plans, and other school supplies that are too burdensome for their families to shoulder.
The RIAA Scholarship Process and scholarship programs provide a systematic and defined pathway for alumni members, families and friends of Ricks Institute to confidently donate funds designated specifically for RIAA scholarships to benefit Ricks students.
