One Boy and One Girl, Grade Point Average: > 2.5, Financial Need.
The children of Mrs. Kula J. Tolbert are pleased to establish this need-based scholarship fund in her memory .
Our mother, the last girl child among many siblings, was unable to continue her education after the passing of her father. She did not view this as a hindrance, but accepted the challenge and became a well-established businesswoman in Liberia.
Because of her fate, she vowed to educate her children and many others who were not biologically hers, embedding in us the need of a sound education. Her impact on education has proven worthy results in shaping us into the model citizens we are today”
This scholarship will be awarded to a boy and a girl with a grade point average of 2.5 and needs financial assistance to attend Ricks Institute. The duration of said scholarship will be two years at $500 per student.
