Letter From The National Chair …
Fellow Dragons, Donors, Supporters, Friends and Visitors,
On behalf of the Board, Officers, and Members, we thank you for taking the time to connect to the website of the Ricks Institute Alumni Association-USA, Inc. (RIAA-USA, Inc.). We are pleased that you have stopped by. However brief your visit might be, we pray that it is indicative of your interest in the work of our Association. Welcome!
The Mission of RIAA-USA, Inc. is to provide support to our alma mater, Ricks Institute, a day and boarding institution that educates students from kindergarten through twelve grades. Ricks Institute is located in Virginia, Liberia, West Africa, about 16 miles east of the nation’s capital, Monrovia.
We are thankful and appreciative to many of you who already support the students of Ricks through our donor-funded scholarships, clinic project, endowment and other initiatives. Your contributions over the years continue to make a major impact in the lives of our students. Without donors like you who give generously to our programs, many of our students would not afford to attend Ricks Institute.
But, the need and urgency for support continues to be great!
Every donation, no matter how small, goes a long way in providing much needed assistance to our programs that will shape the lives of our students, our future leaders, for generations to come.
We, therefore, invite you to scout around our website and determine how you can be of help if you are not already involved. By doing so, we can live out our mantra of “not for self, but for others!”
STELLA POLARIS!
Rena Smith-Jarrett, ‘76
National Chairman & Chairman of the Board
Ricks Institute Alumni Association (RIAA) holds a long-standing tradition of helping students accomplish their academic goals and become successful citizens. Some students rely on our financial help to be able to go to school. 100% of the money that you donate goes directly to the student to pay for school fees, books, housing, meal plans, and other school supplies that are too burdensome for their families to shoulder.
DONOR SCHOLARSHIP
The RIAA Scholarship Process and scholarship programs provide a systematic and defined pathway for alumni members, families and friends of Ricks Institute to confidently donate funds designated specifically for RIAA scholarships to benefit Ricks students.
FINANCIAL AID
RIAA holds a long-standing tradition of helping students with financial help to be able to go to school. 100% of the money that you donate goes directly to the student to pay for school fees, books, housing, and other school supplies that are too burdensome for families.
